To preserve the exquisite taste and quality of your Ka kā wā chocolate, store it in a cool, dry place at a temperature between 16°C and 18°C. Avoid exposure to sunlight or any heat source, as this can affect its texture and flavor. Refrigeration is not recommended, an airtight container is enough, as it can cause condensation and alter the chocolate's delicate taste.

Absolutely, just use it in place of chocolate or cocoa in your recipe.

Are Ka kā wā chocolates suitable for vegans?

Absolutely, all our products are vegan and gluten free.

Does Ka kā wā offer chocolates for people with allergies?

Yes, whilst we do use some seeds and nuts, we are careful about cross contamination. The seeds we use are Sesame and Pumpkin. The nuts we use are Walnuts, Hazelnuts and Peanuts.

How can I learn more about the cultural significance of the ingredients used in Ka kā wā chocolates?

These ingredients are hand harvested with tikanga (proper protocols) in place, to uplift the Mauri of all the ingredients. You can learn more by creating a relationship with the plants, this is how we operate, we ask them first, we wait for their approval before continuing. Good things do take time.
